December 1-21: Solvang’s Julefest: 1911 - 2011, “Lighting Up 100 Years.” Presented by the City of Solvang, Solvang Conference and Visitors Bureau, and other sponsors.
Events include:
• December 2, 5pm: Julefest Tree Lighting Ceremony. Tree lighting and live entertainment, music, dancing, and singing. Special guests include Santa & Mrs. Claus. Solvang Park, Corner of Mission Dr. and First St. (805) 688-6144.
• December 3, 11am: Julefest Parade. A traditional and colorful holiday parade with floats, historic
vehicles, and music. Downtown Solvang.
• December 10: Nativity Pageant. Santa Ynez Valley Visitors Association sponsors a dramatization
of the First Christmas in the Solvang Festival Theater, 420 Second St. Two performances, 5pm and
